Will just listening to a self-hypnosis recording help me get a good night’s sleep?
One of the most common side effects I come across when I deal with clients, whether over the phone, or face-to-face, is that many of them are really struggling to get a deep natural sleep every night.
I completely get it, because I used to have that problem myself.
You know how it feels when you go to bed at your normal bed-time and you can even be feeling really tired, but as soon as your head touches that pillow the thoughts start to come…
Conversations start to replay themselves over and over in your head. Why didn’t I say this…? What if I had said that…? What did he mean by…?
Worries start to surface:
- a looming bill
- a problem that will be expensive to solve
- the threat of job-loss
- sickness and ill-health in yourself or your loved ones.
We are beset by worries every day and it is important to think things over. You need to look after yourself and get your life on track. But sometimes you also just need a good night’s sleep! Just getting those 7 or eight hours natural sleep hat can make things seem less hopeless. Lack of sleep alone can lead to depression!
And sometimes sleep suddenly feels impossible.
Lying awake for hours.
Should you get up? Should you have a drink of water, or something to eat. Is it too cold or too hot?
As I said, I used to have this problem myself, and don’t get me wrong, I still have worries, I still have issues and experiences to mull over, but when it is time to sleep I know that I can.
Using sleep hypnosis recordings for a short time can not only help you sleep there and then, on that particular day. It can also help retrain your brain to recognise that sleep is natural, necessary and easy. When I was in my early twenties I discovered this and have never looked back. Even at the most difficult times I know that if the worst comes to the worst I can just put an mp3 on my phone, plug in my earphones and be asleep naturally in 10 to 20 minutes.
It really can be that simple!
