How you can stop smoking with Cognitive Hypnotherapy

stop-smoking-1537953At  one point in your life. On on one particular day, you had your first smoking lesson.

That’s right.

Every single person who smokes or has smoked cigarettes had a lesson on how to smoke from a friend, or a colleague, or a parent.  You may have learned simply by watching other people, initially. You may have learned by direct instruction on how to breathe properly, how to stop yourself coughing or how to get the best ‘hit’ of nicotine from each puff.

Won’t it be wonderful if you can just learn how to be a non-smoker again?

Cognitive hypnotherapy for smoking cessation is a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and hypnosis that is designed to retrain your brain in new behaviours and habits. The idea is to help you understand fully what is going on inside your mind when you choose to smoke. It enables you habitually use new techniques to give yourself the support that so far you have sought from a cigarette without the devastating damage to your health and wellbeing that smoking causes.

In sessions I teach you:

  • the ‘trick’ that nicotine plays on your brain;
  • how to really relax and relieve stress;
  • how to deal with any cravings (and after hypnosis you may not even have these);
  • how to STOP the impulse to smoke ‘just one more’.

If you have tried to stop smoking before and failed then that is a good thing.  Studies have shown that it is often only through repeated attempts that smokers finally kick the habit.

How long does it take?

My smoking cessation package comprises approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours of one-to-one work. In these sessions I use CBT, NLP and hypnotherapy in a barrage of techniques that aim to stub out that habit once and for all. I want to give you the best chance possible so that you can leave the session a healthy, happy non-smoker.

For those who want a refresher of any of the techniques or who have any additional concerns the package also includes a free ‘follow-up’ session that can be taken any time in the following 3 months.
